What a year it’s been!
As we wrap up 2018, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the last 12 months.
This year, we’ve had almost 188 million views on the site, over 30k posts, and generated almost 80k comments. We were the busiest on November 23rd (hello, Black Friday!) with over 1.3 million page views!
We’re so happy you (our Hip2Save community) have been so engaged during 2018! We thought you might enjoy our highlights of this year.

Yup, we turned 10! 🎉 And we posted a series of Top 10 posts to celebrate along with giving away some of Collin’s favorite things!

• Low: ALL ToysRUs & BabiesRUs Retail Stores Closed
Back in March of 2018, ToysRUs announced shocking news that all stores in the U.S., including BabiesRUs locations would be closing. Sadly, over 30,000 people lost their jobs. You can read more about this here.
• Low: Build-A-Bear Pay Your Age Fiasco
Build-A-Bear Workshop hosted a Pay Your Age Day in which Build-A-Bear Bonus Club Members could score any Furry Friend for the price of just their kiddos age (minimum $1). This promotion was so popular that Build-A-Bear was forced to close the lines in ALL U.S. Stores due to crowd and safety concerns. However, they did come up with an awesome way to make good on their promo!

Not sure how many guys frequent this site but I have for years and have turned many on to it. Thanks for all of the work your team does each day. It’s amazing how many things in my home and how many gifts my girls have gotten for Christmas because of directions you have pointed us. My resolution for h2s is no more alerts on all the amazing things being found for 90% off after Christmas at Targets located in some alternate universe while the ones around me have somehow already totally moved on to isles of bulk food and Valentines Day candy. 😜. I am so glad I found this site 4 years ago .My youngest was getting treatments, and money was so tight.I started saving money on everything.. Love you site – I actually remember your first post (or one of the very first) because when I discovered your blog, you were still new enough that I was able to click back to the first post! I believe it was a picture of little Piper with a haul from Walgreens 🙂 (I could totally be remembering that wrong though). I’m one of those OG Hip2Savers from 2008 and I can’t tell you how happy it has made me to watch your site grow and change over the years, and how many people I have recommended it to!!
Back when I first found you, I cannot tell you how invaluable your site was to my family. We were in a very tough financial place and I know that we wouldn’t have been able to have the same quality of life if I hadn’t found Hip2Save and learned your deal shopping ways when I did.
Now, I am in a different place (more financially sound, but somewhat recently divorced and now navigating the single mom life with three kids) but still here following those deals! I appreciate them all so much, but I also really appreciate the personal touches and posts you do here. After so many years of following you and reading along, I feel as if we are old friends!!
